First I want to thank you for the opportunity to tell our story. I believe very strongly in this new business and our philosophies, and trust you will find we have a very interesting and exciting story to tell.
There are two primary reasons our company story is compelling: First, we have a very significant potential market with little or no competition. Second, our business is based on a proven business model with a detailed systems approach to every aspect of our business.
Last year alone, 2.8 billion square feet of new tile was sold in the US. Over the last 10 years 19.3 billion square feet of tile has been sold. Our market consists of everyone with ceramic tile floors – both residential and commercial, and both new floors and existing floors. We provide solutions to the most significant tile problems faced including floors that are difficult to keep clean because of porous tile and stone, slippery-when-wet floors, and most widespread, the best real, long term solution to stained, dirty, and contaminated floor tile grout.
In today’s marketplace, however, we realize it’s not enough to deliver a terrific product that solves a significant problem. We must do so in a consistent, professional manner that exceeds the customer’s expectations. How we interact with our customer is just as important as the product and service we sell. It is our proprietary way of doing business that will set us apart from every one of our competitors.
To help insure these goals are met, we follow the franchise business model. Right now we’re at the first stage of the Business Development Process – Prototype Implementation. During this stage, systems are being tested, measured, and brought together. Our goal is to ultimately, over and over again answer the question, “Does it work?” When it does, it becomes part of the system. It is the system that will run the business, and it is the people that will run the system. These business systems will insure this company is not dependent on any one person… in particular, the owner. It is these systems that will allow us to grow and replicate our success again and again with locations around the country and, who knows, perhaps eventually around the world.
This systems approach is being applied to every aspect of our business operation. For example, Job Managers have complete, detailed Procedure Manuals so they know exactly what is expected of them. They also have professionally developed training programs in place to teach them during hands-on sessions exactly how to best do their job. But it doesn’t stop there. Every employee’s daily challenge is both “Mastery” of their job, and finding a better way of doing things. Each better way is then measured against our benchmark data to answer the question, “Is this a better way or just a different way?” If it is better, then it becomes the new way we do things, and the innovator will be recognized in our new Procedures Manuals.
We are perpetually in search of a better way, innovating ways to improve every aspect of how we serve our customers, how we work together, how we grow personally and professionally through the business. We continually seek to make excellence an adventure experienced during our journey to exceed our goals. Ceramic Enhancement is more than just a place to go to work.
This is a special place, created by special people who go to work every day to practice doing what they do in the best way possible. The key is - our customers will know this and we will grow because exceptional quality is provided every single time.
